DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis qualification\, informed by employers and national occupational standards for beauty therapy\, includes all the required elements to work effectively as a LASER Systems practitioner specializing in hair growth reduction and skin rejuvenation. Learners must achieve all mandatory units\, which include: \n\nPerform hair growth reduction using LASER Systems\nPerform skin rejuvenation using LASER systems\nCore of knowledge for LASER and Light Devices\n\nThroughout this qualification\, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4 aesthetic therapies. They will also develop the knowledge\, understanding\, and skills to communicate\, consult with\, and analyze clients for treatment\, whilst honing their customer service skills. \nEntry Requirements\n\nLevel 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy or an Access to Aesthetics qualification or equivalent.\nAll qualifications must include A&P at level 3.\n\nCourse Content\nUnit 1 UBT451 Perform Hair Growth Reduction Using LASER Systems\n\nHair removal will include treatment of all face and body areas on a range of hair types and skin colours. A range of LASER systems will be used during training\, such as Diode\, nD:Yag\, and Alexandrite LASERS\, making us unique compared to other training establishments.\n\nUnit 2 UBT453 Perform Skin Rejuvenation using LASER Systems\n\nSkin rejuvenation will include the following treatments on the face and body:\n\nReduction of fine lines\nReduction of superficial telangiectasia/vascular lesions\nImprovement of superficial blemishes\nImprovement of pigmentation variations\nImprovement of skin texture\n\n\n\nUnit 3 UBT449 Core of Knowledge\nThis unit is delivered through an e-learning platform and must be completed before attending practical sessions. \nUpon completion\, learners will: \n\nComprehend laser safety legislation\, measures\, and management\nComprehend risk assessments\, hazards\, and safety\nComprehend laser and light technologies (radiation and tissue interaction)\n\nAssessment\n\nCourse Work\n\nLearners must evidence their knowledge and understanding of the taught content through assignments\, worksheets\, and tests.\n\n\nCase Studies\n\nLearners must produce a treatment portfolio of case studies\, completed under the supervision of a lecturer\, to ensure quality. All case studies must be completed and marked prior to the summative practical assessments.\n\n\nSummative Practical Assessments\n\nConducted by centre assessors through direct observation\, these assessments take place under controlled conditions on real clients in a commercially acceptable timeframe.\n\n\nOnline Theory Exam\n\nCore of Knowledge is assessed through an online theory exam.\n\n\n\nCourse Duration\nCore of Knowledge must be completed in your own time before attending onsite dates. \nOnline Virtual Classroom \n\n3 x tutorials that can be taken at your own pace.  Please allow 2 Hours per tutorial.  All tutorials must be completed before onsite training takes place.\n\nOnsite Training – 3 Days \n\nDates: Saturday 6th – Monday 8th June\nTime: 10am – 5pm\n\nSummative Assessments Onsite – 2 Days \n\nDate: Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd June\nTime: 10am – 5pm\n\nCourse Fees: €1650\n\nA deposit of €450 is required upon booking. DESCRIPTION:The VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Skin Blemish Removal (QCF) is a vocationally related qualification focused on carrying out advanced electrical epilation techniques to treat skin tags\, milia\, telangiectasia\, spider naevi and blood spots. \nYou will develop the advanced skills to carry out a thorough consultation\, formulate an individual treatment plan and provide aftercare advice. Health\, safety and hygiene are also key elements of this qualification. \nCertification\nVTCT & ITEC Level 4 (Ire 6) Award in Skin Blemish Removal \n  \nEntry Requirements\nA level 3 or higher Beauty or Aesthetic qualification including Anatomy & Physiology \n  \nCourse Content\nLearn the skills involved in carrying out providing advanced electrical epilation techniques to treat skin tags\, telangiectasia\, spider naevi and blood spots. You will also need to carry out a thorough consultation with the client\, formulate an individual treatment plan and provide the relevant treatment advice. To carry out this unit you will need to maintain effective health\, safety and hygiene procedures throughout your treatment. \nAll course notes will be sent to candidates once full payment has been made. All Anatomy & Physiology and Electrical Epilation Theory and practical skills are covered by pre requisite for the course however the Hair and Skin will be covered in further detail with assignments to confirm knowledge. \n  \nAssessment\nFor practical elements you will be observed by your assessor.  All your work must be collected in a portfolio of evidence and cross referenced to requirements listed in your Assessment Book.  An Internal Verifier will check your assessments to ensure evidence is valid.  A VTCT External Verifier will sample observations and portfolios.
