It provides the essential skills and knowledge to fulfill a teaching role. \nWhere Does the Training Take Place?\n\nTheory: Through 3 online tutorials.\nClassroom-based: 2 days. Learners prepare for teaching practice sessions and are assessed by tutors during work placements. All materials are uploaded to an E-Learning platform and can be accessed from anywhere. SUMMARY:VTCT/ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Electrolysis
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis qualification is about the skills involved in assessing\, preparing for and carrying out electrical needle epilation treatments to remove hair using alternating current and blend techniques. \nYou will also need to show you can competently advise clients on the care needed after electrical epilation.  The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills as a beauty therapist or electrologist to enable you to provide electrical epilation treatments. \n  \nCertification\nVTCT & ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Epilation \n  \nEntry Requirements\nLevel 2 Beauty Therapy or equivalent \n  \nCourse Content\n\nHealth and safety\nClient care and communications\nProvide electrical epilation – Evidence Requirements – Competent performance must be demonstrated on six occasions treating facial hair\, bikini and underarm hair using Blend\, Galvanic and Short Wave Diathermy modalities.           \n\nAll Anatomy & Physiology is covered by prerequisite for the course however the Hair and Skin will be covered in further detail with assignments to confirm knowledge. \nAssessment\nFor practical elements you will be observed by your assessor.  All your work must be collected in a portfolio of evidence and cross referenced to requirements listed in your Assessment Book.  An Internal Verifier will check your assessments to ensure evidence is valid.  A VTCT External Verifier will sample observations and portfolios. Practical observations will be assessed as per unit listed above.  Evidence of knowledge will be assessed through assignments. \nCourse Duration: 4 Days 10am – 4pm\nCandidates will attend a one day training session online covering the theoretical aspects of Electrical Epilation.  Onsite training will take place over 3 days.   It is recommended that students practice Epilation outside of these hours.  Information on purchasing equipment can be provided by contacting the office. \n  \nCourse Dates\nOnline Virtual Classroom\n\nTake Anytime (prior to onsite dates): Please allow 8 hours\n\nOnsite Training\n\nDates: Saturday 28th February & Sunday 1st March\nTime: 10am – 5pm\n\nSummative Assessments Onsite\n\nDate: Sunday 8th March\nTime: 10am – 3pm\n\nProgression\nThis is an approved qualification for working as an advanced beauty therapist specialising in reducing hair growth.
