DESCRIPTION:VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Core of Knowledge for Laser and Light Devices is a knowledge-based E – Learning qualification aimed at laser\, IPL and LED technicians\, who need to understand how to safely and professionally provide laser and light application treatments in the medical and aesthetics industry. \nThroughout this qualification\, learners will develop knowledge on the characteristics of laser\, IPL and LED radiation and skin tissue reaction to laser\, IPL and LED application. Additionally learners will cover hazards and precautions\, safety management\, safe product sourcing\, risk assessments\, quality assurance and relevant and associated legislation influencing the purchase and use of laser and light devices. Learners will also gain an understanding of the safe working practices required in order to protect themselves and their clients when applying laser and light devices. \n  \nENTRY REQUIREMENTS\nLevel 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent  \nMedical practitioner – Dentist\, Doctor or Nurse  \nProficient in spoken and written English\, with particular emphasis on reading ability. \n  \nCOURSE CONTENT\n\n\n\nOn completion of this unit\, learners will: \nLO1 Comprehend laser safety legislation\, measures\, and management\nLO2 Comprehend risk assessments\, hazards\, and safety\nLO3 Comprehend laser and light technologies – (radiation and tissue interaction) \nYou will receive printable workbooks and slide transcripts.  The qualification is covered by \n\nSubjects are covered by 3 lessons. It is necessary to move progressively through each module as information in later modules may rely on an understanding of earlier sections.\nMultiple-choice assessments at the end of each section.  You must achieve 100% before moving onto the next lesson\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE DURATION\nThe course must be completed within a 3 month timeframe from booking.  The course typically takes 2 days to complete. \n\n  \nASSESSMENT\nTheory will be delivered through online tutorials.  All material for your qualification will be uploaded to an E Learning platform. This can be accessed from anywhere. You will have unlimited tutor support. \nA VTCT/ITEC external Theory Paper must be taken once all lessons have been completed.   \n  \nCOURSE FEES\n€295 payable on booking \nOnce payment has been made\, instructions will be sent on how to access the course online. SUMMARY:VTCT/ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices
DESCRIPTION:The role of the Internal Verifier is to monitor the work of all assessors involved with a particular qualification\, ensuring accuracy and consistency of activities and decisions. You will already be an experienced assessor and hold a Vocational Assessor qualification. \nThe internal verifier: \n\nEnsures that assessors follow the qualification assessment guidance provided\nSample and observe activities\, methods and records to ensure that assessment decisions are consistent and then provide assessors with constructive feedback on their decisions.\nKeeps up to date records of internal verification and sampling activities and ensure that these by the awarding body are available for the awarding body to see.\nRaises issues of good practice in assessment and organise regular meetings between all staff involved in the process.\nEnsures that any corrective actions required by the awarding body’s external verifier are put into place.\n\n\nEntry Requirements\nYou will need an Assessor qualification and need to be working within a training centre before you can achieve your IQA Certificate. You must have minimum of 12 months experience of assessing. You can only IQA a subject area you are qualified in. \nDepending on your role\, you will need to collect a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates your competency in supporting other assessors and ensuring quality and consistency across a qualification. Your role will involve: evaluating the internal assessment audit systems; carrying out related internal verification or moderation activities\, maintaining and improving standards in your centre. \n\nLearning Outcomes\n\ndevelop your knowledge and understanding that underpins the internal quality assurance of assessment.\ndevelop your performance as a learning and development practitioner with responsibility for the internal quality assurance of assessment.\ndevelop your skills to plan\, allocate and monitor work in your own area of responsibility\, and make any necessary changes to original work plans.\n\n\nDuration: Completed in a 3 – 6 month period\nTheory will be delivered through Virtual Classroom online. Practical training will take place in your own training centre or remotely. \n  \nCertification\nVTCT Level 4 (IRL Level 6) Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice \n  \nCourse Fees\n€695\nFees must be paid in full on enrolment.
