Course Overview

The VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced aesthetics qualification designed for Level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over who wish to progress into advanced skin rejuvenation treatments within the aesthetics industry.

Developed in line with current professional and regulatory guidance, this qualification provides learners with the theoretical knowledge, clinical understanding, and practical skills required to safely and effectively perform advanced non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

Entry Requirements

Learners are required to hold:

• A Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or equivalent qualification that includes Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology

OR

• A Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies

This qualification is suitable for practitioners wishing to progress into advanced skin rejuvenation treatments and develop specialist aesthetic skills.

What You Will Learn

This qualification covers the core principles and advanced practical skills required to work professionally within non-surgical aesthetic skin rejuvenation.

Learners will study:

• Principles, practices, and ethical considerations for advanced aesthetic therapies
• Advanced client consultation and assessment techniques
• Dermatological science for advanced aesthetic therapies
• Skin needling treatments for skin rejuvenation
• Superficial chemical peels for skin rejuvenation

Throughout the qualification, learners will develop:

• Advanced anatomy and physiology knowledge
• Consultation and skin analysis skills
• Understanding of health and safety within aesthetic practice

Mandatory Units

Assessment Methods

To achieve this qualification, learners must successfully complete:

• Summative external theory examination
• Summative practical observations
• Assignment – Short Answer Response (SAR)

All mandatory units and assessments must be completed successfully to achieve certification.

All classes must be attended in full in order to successfully complete the qualification.

All practical training sessions and final examinations will take place onsite at the Advanced Aesthetics Ireland Academy.

Course Fees

Learners who have successfully completed the Access to Aesthetic Therapies course with Advanced Aesthetics Academy will receive a €250 discount on the course fee.

Funding Opportunities

This course may be eligible for funding through the Training Support Grant (TSG) for eligible applicants.

The TSG grant is designed to support learners undertaking training and professional development to improve employment opportunities and career progression.
